"What is a plant going to do to me?" He says with nimrod-pride, looking down his nose at the leaking flower. He thumbs at the petals, finding them soft and flesh and sternly folded over. He presses one back, showing the sluggish pulling apart of the bulb and the pollen heavy barbs inside its petals. "It's not if the thing could throw a stake through my chest, after all--"
Three bards shoot out of the plant into Luka's palm, and immediately after there is a hard bark of noxious yellow pollen from the flower, splattering them both in the face. Luka grabs his hand back and whines, scratching the barbs free of his hand and then mopping at his face. He groans and screws his eyes shut, rubbing them itchily and turning away to sneeze hard.
"What on Earth--Stupid, ugly plant, ugh--It's stings when it gets in the eyes," he stands with his eyes shut, small tears at the corners as he grumbles and smears pollen all over his face. The place where the plant stung him is already swelling and red.
