She laughs at the joke, but it's all such an oddly peaceful scene after the wildness of before. That she's invited this gentleness irrationally irks her and she resists the urge to disturb things, a cat-like desire to destroy. But she minds her tongue for now.
Anyway, there are more exciting ways to disturb the peace.
For the moment, she lets herself be lulled. She's truly exhausted, so it doesn't take much. She slowly melts under his touch until it's obvious she's drifted off.
